Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann 2019 - Sligo Results

Somewhat belatedly, here are the results for Sligo contestants at this year's Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann, along with a short report from Teresa McCormack.Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann, Drogheda , 2019 Fleadh Cheoil na hEireann was held in Drogheda this year in 2019. The weeklong festival attracted thousands of visitors and competitors from all parts of Ireland and overseas to experience the treasures, heritage and archeology of the Boyne Valley region. It commenced with the official opening by president Michael D. Higgins on Sunday 11^th August . The event continued until Sunday 18^th August with a very varied daily programme of entertainment, Scoil Eigse and competitions to cater for all age groups. Sligo and Connacht were well represented at the Fleadh and enjoyed music, singing, dancing , storytelling and the cupla focail and also participating in competitions. Volunteers from the region helped and coordinated competitions over the weekend.
